Personality (3 sentence minimum): A former Ravenclaw, Matthew is very shy and intelligent, though when performing on stage, he tends to be quite the opposite. When he was in school, he was very interested in astronomy, and he wants his band, Muse, to be the first band to play in space. He is musically inclined, and plays classical piano and guitar in his free time. He has a speech impediment called Rhotacism (also known as Elmer Fudd Syndrome) where he pronounces his r's like w's (pwoper, pwomise, pwease, weally, etc.) he is well aware of this, and doesn't like it when people point it out in a mean way, or react weirdly to it.
Background (3 sentence minimum): Matthew James Bellamy was born June 9th, 1978 to Marylin and George Bellamy, two squibs from pureblooded families. George's family was made up entirely of Metamorphmagi, and, though George did not posess these abilities, Matthew showed his metamorphmagus abilities early on, his features changed involuntarily until he settled on his current appearance. Matthew has since mastered the ability, and is able to control his hair when around muggles. When he was 15, he met his best friends, and band mates, Dom Howard and Chris Wolstenholme. Together, they are one of the most popular bands, in both the muggle and wizarding worlds today, Muse.
When Matthew was 19, he had a child with his then girlfriend, Eva, named Clara. Eva took off after having Clara, as she was a muggle, and was unaware of Matt's wizarding abilities. When she saw Clara change via her metamorphmagus abilities, she thought she had gone insane, and ran away. Now Clara is 17 and attends Hogwarts.
Matt soon took up the empty Muggle Studies and Music positions at Hogwarts, using a Time Turner to manage both Muse and his duties to Hogwarts.
